Skills for OpenCode

Israeli skills for the open-source agent you run yourself

164skills available
Security-vetted

OpenCode is an open-source AI agent that runs in the terminal and supports a wide range of models (Claude, GPT, local models via Ollama). It is built for developers who want full control: no cloud service, no third-party code submission, and the option to work with private models. In Israel it is popular among companies with strict privacy requirements. Our skills support OpenCode out of the box. The catalog includes tax automation, Hebrew document generation with proper RTL, and Israeli government API access. Because OpenCode also works with local models, several skills are optimized to run well even on smaller LLMs.

How to install

Run this command to install the 'Hebrew Document Generator' skill in OpenCode.

opencode install skills-il/localization --skill hebrew-document-generator

How it works with OpenCode

  • OpenCode stores skills in ‎.opencode/skills/‎ inside your project. Each skill is a single Markdown file (SKILL.md) loaded each new session.
  • The ‎npx skills-il add‎ command fetches the skill from GitHub and places it in the right directory. For multi-project setups, install globally under ‎~/.opencode/skills/‎.
  • OpenCode lists active skills at the start of each session. You can enable and disable skills manually with ‎/skill enable <name>‎ or ‎/skill disable <name>‎.

FAQ

What is a skill for OpenCode?
A skill is a Markdown file that teaches OpenCode to perform a task consistently. Because OpenCode is open source, you can see exactly how the skill is loaded and how it influences the model. Nothing happens in the background that you can't audit.
Where does OpenCode store the skill?
In ‎.opencode/skills/‎ in your project (project-scoped) or in ‎~/.opencode/skills/‎ (global). Unlike commercial agents, OpenCode doesn't sync skills to a cloud, they stay on your machine.
Do skills work with local models?
In most cases yes. Our skills are written model-neutral and work with Claude, GPT, and local models via Ollama (Llama, Qwen, and others). Smaller models (under 7B parameters) may struggle with the more complex skills.
Is it free?
Yes. OpenCode itself is open-source and free. Our catalog skills are open and free. If you use commercial models (Claude API, OpenAI) you pay them directly, but that's optional. With Ollama you can run everything locally for free.
